  • Clinics: There are several private medical clinics in Curaçao that offer specialized services such as dentistry, dermatology, and pediatrics. Some of the clinics include Carmabi Foundation Clinic, Poliklinika MFK, and Academia Medica.
  • Pharmacies: Pharmacies are widely available in Curaçao and can provide over-the-counter and prescription medications. Some of the most well-known pharmacies include Botica di Servicio, Botica Santa Ana, and Botica Boka.
  • Medical Evacuation: In the event of a serious medical emergency, it may be necessary to evacuate a patient to another medical facility outside of Curaçao. There are several companies that offer medical evacuation services, including AeroMD and Medevac Aruba.
  • Insurance: It is important to note that medical services in Curaçao can be quite expensive, and it is recommended to have adequate travel insurance that covers medical expenses. Some insurance companies that provide travel insurance include Allianz Global Assistance, World Nomads, and Travel Guard.

Additionally, it is recommended to check with your home country’s embassy in Curaçao for a list of recommended medical facilities and doctors in the area.

Personal Documents

Upon check-in, Elements Hotel & Shops Curacao requests a deposit in terms of a credit card or cash, and a copy of the passport/ID of each guest staying at the hotel.

Check-In & Check-Out

The check-in time is 4:00 PM and the check-out time is 12:00 PM. Guests who have checked out of their accommodations are welcome to stay within the hotel premises for the rest of the day. Late check-outs can be booked prior to arrival at an additional cost with our reservations department (subject to availability). Late check-outs for in-house guests can only be confirmed on the day of check-out. If you would like a late checkout until 6:00 PM, we would charge an extra night stay at the prevailing market rate.

Housekeeping Policy

Our housekeeping services your room completely every day. If you do not wish to receive this service, please use our ‘Do not disturb” sign. The environment is of great importance to us, please only place the used towels on the bathroom floor to be collected and replaced. Should you wish to have your bedding changed anytime during your stay, please inform the Front Office or place the dirty linen in the laundry basket. Turn off water faucets, lights, television, air-conditioner and any other electrical device after each use.

Restaurant & Bar Rules

Guests are required to wear appropriate resort wear. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Alcoholic beverages are only served to guests 18 years or older.

Behavior

Aggressive, unsociable and/or violent behavior is not tolerated.

Electricity

All accommodations offer 220V European plugs. Electricity adapters and converters are available at the Front Office. Elements Hotel & Shops Curacao cannot be held responsible for incorrect use of electricity plug for personal appliances.

Smoking/Illegal Substances

Smoking is not allowed inside the accommodations. Ashtrays are provided on the respective porches and in areas where smoking is allowed. Use of drugs and/or alcohol abuse is strictly prohibited.

Swimming Pool Rules

  • The main swimming pool is opened every day from 12:00 PM till 6:00 PM. (No lifeguard on duty)
  • The pool’s minimum age is 18+ (no children allowed)
  • The use of the swimming pools is entirely at own risk.
  • Appropriate swimwear is required. It is not allowed to swim and/or sunbathe topless and swimming with cotton shirts, shorts or any footwear is also not allowed.
  • Guests are expected to respect other guests’ privacy and maintain a peaceful atmosphere at all times. Please no Running, diving, and horseplay (including excess splashing).
  • Drinks, food and glassware are not permitted in the swimming pool area.

Laundry

Laundry services are available at the hotel for an additional fee.  Please contact the front desk for more information.

Lost & Found

If you have lost an item during your stay, please contact the Front Office immediately. We will do our utmost to find your lost item. If found, we will contact you and make arrangements for the item to be returned to you. The hotel is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Elements Hotel & Shops Curacao cannot be held responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occur while on the hotel premises. The hotel is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of guests. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.

  • The customer is obliged to take good care of hotel property and rented equipment and to protect them from damage, loss or theft. If any of the mentioned situations occur during your stay and/or the rental period, the customer will be charged for the full cost of repair materials and labor fees if equipment is repairable or the full cost of the damaged item(s). At the end of your rental period, our hotel representative will determine the conditions of the rented materials. In case of loss or theft of the equipment, components or any other accessories, the hotel will charge the customer the full cost of the missing item(s) at market price.
  • Elements Hotel & Shops Curacao can never be held responsible for personal or material damages. All facilities are used at your own risk.
  • Elements Hotel & Shops Curacao will not be responsible for accidents, injuries or loss of property by theft, wind or act of God. Effective immediately, as a condition of entering and/or staying at the hotel, all visitors and guests must acknowledge the risks associated with COVID-19 or other world pandemics exposure. And assume all such risks. The hotel and its respective owners, operators, employees, agents, and insurers shall not be liable for any injury, illness, losses or damages of any nature whatsoever in connection with COVID-19 or any other world pandemic exposure.
  • The hotel will not be responsible for accidents, injuries or loss of property by theft, wind or act of God. Elements Hotel & Shops Curacao is not liable for bodily injury or even deaths as a result of but not limited to: accidents caused by equipment with or without staff supervision; physical exertion for which a guest is not prepared; forces of nature; lack of or limited access to medical attention in remote locations; travel by car, boat, tricycle or other conveyance; consumption of alcoholic beverages; breakdown of equipment; and the adequacy of medical attention once provided.

Management’s Decision

The management has the right to refuse service or accommodation to anyone. Management reserves the right to evict anyone who disturbs the peace or violates any of the rules and regulations set forth by the hotel. No refunds will be given to guests who are asked to leave the hotel due to rule violations.

Failure to comply with any policies, rules and guideline may result in your leaving the Hotel with NO Refund and future reservations being cancelled.

Planning Your Arrival

Checkin time begins at 4:00PM unless other arrangements are made ahead of time.

Overall, our hotel policies are designed to ensure that all guests have a safe and enjoyable stay. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the policies of our hotel before you arrive and follow them during your stay to avoid any potential issues or fees.

  • Check-In/Check-Out: Guests may check in at Elements Hotel & Shops Curacao from 4pm onwards. Guests should check-out by 12pm (noon).  If you need to check in earlier or check out later, you may be able to request this, but you should expect to pay an additional fee.  Please note, early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability.
  • Cancellation Policy: Unless you have booked a non-refundable reservation, we generally accept free cancellations up to 3 days before your arrival.  If cancelled within 3 days of your arrival, the first night’s cost will be charged.
  • Payment: Our hotel requires a valid credit card to hold your reservation, and you will be asked to provide payment at check-in.
  • Smoking: Our hotel is smoke-free; however, we do have spaces where you can smoke such as our rooftop restaurant.
  • Pets: We do not allow for pets, except for service animals.
  • Damage: If you cause damage to the hotel or its property, you may be charged a fee to cover the cost of repairs or replacement.

Once you arrive at the Elements Hotel & Shops, please come into the lobby (located on the 2nd floor) to complete your guest registration and get your room number and key.

Parking Information
Our hotel has ample free (public) parking available directly in front of the property. Since this is public parking, the spots are not guaranteed. However, if you’d like to arrange paid parking for your stay, please let us know and we’ll look to arrange this for you (with an add-on charge).

Your packing list will depend on the time of year and your interests.  Many guests stay with us for the nearby beaches.  If that’s your plan, don’t forget:

We do provide beach towels for your use!  All you have to do is come by to our front desk and we’ll be happy to help.

If you’re in town for other attractions or to experience our great cuisine, you would need to plan appropriately.  Since many restaurants require a short walk from the nearest parking, we would recommend wearing shoes that you can comfortably walk in.

Color your world with a walk down Curaçao’s historic waterfront strip, Handelskade, savor new flavors with a late-night bite at one of our food truck favorites, or take on new terrain with a hike through Christoffel Park, the island’s biggest nature reserve.
